Yes, most sump and drainage pump control panels can add mobile SMS notifications while retaining the existing buzzer alarm.
More precisely, the alarm “sound” is not converted into a text message. Instead, an LTE/GSM remote alarm device receives the electrical alarm signal that activates the buzzer and sends an SMS.
Therefore, there is no need to replace the existing drainage pump and entire control panel. The key is to first check which alarm contacts the current control panel provides.
